Major Projects of the Lakeshore Rotary Club:



1. Senior Citizens Night (annual) at Lakeshore High School; started during our 1st year (1974)

2. We built a garage for one of our members (Deac Nye)

3. We built baseball dugouts at Lakeshore High School

4. Peace Essay Contest for area Middle Schools students  (annual)

5. I-94 Highway Clean Up

6. I-94 tree planting project (50,000 trees in 5 years)

7. Sponsor- ed a Rotary Interact Club, Bridgman High School

8. Habitat for Humanity and the Jimmy Carter home building Blitz. (2 Rotary homes)

9. The Jung Nature Preserve

10. North Lake Park – Play-ground Equip., maintenance, picnic tables, grills and more (annual).

11. The Youth Baseball Association and the Soccer Group.

12. Lakeshore Excellence Association ($5000 over 3 years)

13. LMC Scholarships

14. School supplies and Equipment for BELIZE children.

15. Polio Plus Program

16. BioSand Filters (current)

17. Rotary Youth Exchange students (annual)

18. Hosted 2 Russian Vocational teams through PEP.

19. RYLA leadership camp—sponsored students on yearly basis from area high schools.

20. Lory’s Place (through the Art Auction)

21. Raised $3800.00 in one week for Life saving kidney operation for 8 year old Johel Camacho in the Dominican Republic.

22. Law Day co-hosted with the Berrien County Bar Association (2008 and 2009)

23. Lest We Forget – ran booth to sell merchandise and raise money for the project
